2011 Bread & Roses Heritage Festival a Success!
On labor day thousands of people assembled on the North Common in Lawrence, MA to celebrate labor day the way it was intended to be celebrated. Families and working people enjoyed music and dance from renowned artists, art and ideas from artists and social justice groups, and delicious food from a variety of ethnic vendors. It was truly and festival for working people, their history and future.
The Bread & Roses Centennial Committee had an informational table set up. The traffic to the table was great. Many people were interested and excited about the plans for 2012. We added new names to our email list and hopefully convinced people to come back to Lawrence in 2012. Are you coming back in 2012?
